Girl stuff

After having a baby in October 2011 my main focus as a woman was trying to figure out how to be a mum. Yes there are 101 books on how to do this but more often than not the books just don't cover it (plus, when do you have time in those early days to read!!). My second focus was to try and get my body and fitness back to my pre-baby days.  Initially you focus on the weight and that's what drives you but what happens when you reach your pre-baby weight? Can you stay there? Can you get the old fitness back? Do you have the time or the energy to even try?  And how will the ever-increasing work-life-load affect your health?

These are questions I have faced in the past 18 months and the answers haven't come easy, and rarely have been the ones that I want.  I am currently seeking ways to improve my health and become better at time management (which has proved difficult until now due to sleeping issues) and I'm learning to bring everything into balance.

Women today need to learn to be in the moment more, to enjoy life, rather than always ahead of it, planning the next moment.
